Channel Corporation, which operates the artificial intelligence (AI) business messenger 'Channel Talk', announced on July 9 that it has launched the MCP (Model Context Protocol) host function for its in-house AI assistant tool 'Team ALF' to build an automated work environment. MCP is an integrated standard proposed by the American generative AI startup Anthropic in November last year through its service 'Claude'. It connects AI systems with external data sources, supporting AI not only to answer questions based on given information, but also to act as an 'active agent' by retrieving external documents or sending emails.
The MCP host function of Team ALF serves as a hub to facilitate integration with external solutions and data. By freely connecting tools and databases that support MCP to Team ALF, the efficiency of agents' work can be maximized, and the scope of Channel Talk usage can be significantly expanded even in non-customer service departments.
Channel Corporation also provides an MCP server function that allows non-developers to use it easily through natural language commands. Previously, developers had to manually match Channel Talk installations and data integration on self-built websites with the system. However, with this update, even non-developers can easily complete Channel Talk installation and integration simply by using natural language commands such as "Install Channel Talk" or "Integrate member information."
Yoon Taehun, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Channel Corporation, said, "The global generative AI agent market is currently experiencing fierce competition with rapid changes every day," adding, "We will continue to strengthen the competitiveness of our products through fast decision-making and a challenging startup spirit, actively introducing innovative technologies to improve customer work efficiency."
