The signing ceremony was held on July 8 at the Asia Cement headquarters in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with Kyungtae Lim, CEO of Asia Cement and Hanla Cement, Hyungjoo Yoon, Chairman of Korea Habitat, and other officials from both sides in attendance.
Korea Habitat is an international non-profit organization focused on residential welfare, aiming to restore families by providing stable housing. Hanla Cement was the first company in the industry to begin sponsoring all the cement used in Korea Habitat's House of Hope project in 2001. Since 2018, its sister company, Asia Cement, has also participated in the sponsorship. This year marks the 25th year since the sponsorship began, making them Korea Habitat's longest-running corporate sponsor.
In addition, employees from both companies plan to participate as volunteers at the House of Hope construction site scheduled for August, sharing their efforts for hope. In a congratulatory message, Hoonbum Lee, Chairman of Asia Cement and Hanla Cement, stated, "As a building materials company, we take great pride in supporting Korea Habitat's housing projects for vulnerable groups."
Hyungjoo Yoon, Chairman of Korea Habitat, said, "Asia Cement and Hanla Cement are the longest-running corporate sponsors of Korea Habitat, supporting us every year. I am sincerely grateful for their unwavering commitment and support, even in challenging times."
