Hana Bank Launches Korea's First "Pre-Arrival Information Registration Service" for Foreigners

Hana Bank announced on July 9 that it has launched the "Pre-Arrival Information Registration Service," becoming the first bank in Korea to allow foreigners to register essential information for account opening before entering the country.

The "Pre-Arrival Information Registration Service" enables foreigners who are planning to enter Korea to input the necessary information for opening a bank account in advance by using a QR code. The registered information can be immediately verified at any Hana Bank branch nationwide after the customer enters Korea, allowing foreigners to open an account easily and conveniently at any Hana Bank branch.

This service is available in 16 languages and provides advance guidance on required documents and important notes for account opening in Korea. It is expected to significantly enhance both financial accessibility and convenience for foreigners conducting their first financial transactions in the country.

An official from Hana Bank's Foreign Exchange Business Support Department stated, "The core of this service is to help foreign customers use banking services more easily before they begin their lives in Korea," and added, "We expect this will dramatically improve financial accessibility for foreigners preparing to enter Korea."

Meanwhile, Hana Bank has previously launched the specialized brand HANA THE EASY for foreign customers and continues to provide customized services tailored to each stage of the life cycle, from pre-arrival, to residency, and permanent settlement in Korea.
