Polaris Office Group announced on July 8 that it has secured a new headquarters site and building in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, valued at approximately 73 billion KRW, which will be used as an integrated office for the group companies. The acquisition of the new headquarters is a strategic decision aimed at concentrating the group's artificial intelligence (AI) business capabilities, strengthening communication among affiliates, and enhancing organizational operational efficiency.
Polaris AI Pharma purchased the new site and building, and major affiliates such as Polaris Office and Polaris AI are scheduled to move in sequentially. The acquired building in Samseong-dong has a land area of 1,137.6 square meters (344 pyeong) and a total floor area of 4,668.33 square meters (1,412 pyeong), consisting of two basement levels and nine above-ground floors. Notably, its location adjacent to Samseong Jungang Station offers excellent accessibility.
By relocating previously dispersed office spaces, which had been operated by each affiliate through leasing arrangements, to the new integrated headquarters, the group also expects to achieve cost savings on fixed expenses such as rent.
The company plans to use the operation of the integrated headquarters as an opportunity to further activate technological collaboration and communication within the group, and to maximize synergies in its AI business. In particular, Polaris Office will lead the rollout of specialized 'vertical AI' services for the education, pharmaceutical, and public sectors, utilizing AI technology based on document understanding. In addition, the group aims to expand the AI ecosystem and strengthen its market competitiveness through strategic partnerships with external organizations.
The Samseong-dong area is recognized as a hub for the bio and IT industries, with major domestic and international companies concentrated there, making it a favorable location for global cooperation and network expansion. Polaris AI Pharma plans to use the establishment of the new headquarters as an opportunity to further solidify its AI-based future growth strategy.
A Polaris Office Group representative emphasized, "The acquisition of this new headquarters has strategic significance beyond simply securing space," and added, "We will lay the foundation for sustainable growth by consolidating our AI business capabilities and creating synergies among our affiliates."
