Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director Lee Seyong) announced that Hanul Unit 1 (pressurized water reactor, 950,000 kW class), which entered scheduled preventive maintenance on May 23, resumed power generation on July 6 and reached 100% output at 13:20 on July 8.
During the scheduled preventive maintenance period, Hanul Unit 1 completed statutory inspections in accordance with the Nuclear Safety Act, replaced fuel, and conducted inspections and maintenance of equipment, thereby improving the safety and reliability of the power generation facilities.
The Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters stated that it will continue to do its utmost to enhance equipment reliability and ensure the safe operation of nuclear power plants, and will transparently disclose all related matters at all times.
