According to the city on July 7, this evaluation is conducted by North Jeolla Province every year in the first and second halves, comprehensively assessing nine indicators, including the local tax collection rate, based on the size of tax revenue in each city and county.

In the first half of this year, the city faithfully operated the Delinquent Tax Collection Task Force (headed by the Deputy Mayor). During this period, in cooperation with towns and townships, the city focused on joint seizure of license plates from delinquent vehicles, proactive public auctions of real estate, and home searches of high-value tax delinquents, striving to reduce chronic delinquent tax amounts. In particular, the city successfully sold Namwon Hyosan Condo, which had been closed for over 20 years due to long-term tax delinquency.

Mayor Choi Kyungsik said, "I would like to thank the citizens who have paid their taxes faithfully despite difficult economic conditions. In the second half of the year, we will make even greater efforts to protect taxpayers and improve the collection rate through customized measures for delinquent taxes."
