This program has been established to provide stable public sector jobs to middle-aged individuals who are struggling due to the economic downturn, and to help revitalize the local economy by encouraging economic participation.

The employment period will run for approximately three months, from September 1 to November 28. Participants will be offered jobs in public sector offices within Siheung City, assisting with administrative tasks and environmental maintenance. The main areas of work include: ▲ guiding visitors at public health center laboratories ▲ supporting the operation of the Bugsrium Insect Museum ▲ environmental maintenance in Turtle Island-dong ▲ and managing the Nanum Parking Lot, among others.

Working conditions include four-hour shifts per day, with an hourly wage of 10,030 won. Basic labor conditions are guaranteed, including weekly holiday pay, annual leave pay, and enrollment in the four major social insurances.

Unemployed residents of Siheung City aged 40 to 64, or those in the same age group without regular income, are eligible to apply. Interested individuals can check the detailed announcement on the notice/announcement board of the Siheung City Hall website and submit their applications to the relevant department according to the recruitment schedule for each program. Park Gunho, head of the Siheung City Job Management Division, stated, "This program will serve as a stepping stone for middle-aged individuals preparing for the second chapter of their lives after retirement," adding, "By introducing experienced and knowledgeable middle-aged workers into the public sector, we will also expand opportunities for social contribution."
