The Salvation Army Korea Territory (Commissioner Kim Byungyun) announced on July 7 that it held a "Summer Supplies Handover Ceremony" in partnership with NH Nonghyup Bank to address the low birth rate issue and support the health of vulnerable groups during the extreme summer heat.
This initiative was organized to help children spend the summer in a healthy and safe way in response to record-breaking heatwaves. The support items will be distributed sequentially to 38 child welfare facilities nationwide, including the Seoul Welfare Center, as well as to 40 low-income families.
Sejong Han, Secretary General of the Salvation Army, who participated in the event, stated, "I hope that the summer supplies provided this time will be of real help to children struggling in the heat," and added, "We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities to address the low birth rate issue through cooperation between corporations and NGOs."
Dongha Choi, Senior Deputy President of NH Nonghyup Bank, said, "I hope this sharing will help children have a healthy and cool summer," and emphasized, "Nonghyup Bank will continue to engage in warm sharing and social contribution activities for our neighbors in the future."
