K-Bio Ventures Now Able to Communicate in Real Time with Global VCs and Pharmaceutical Companies

A specialized matching service has been launched that allows early-stage companies in the domestic pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare sectors to search for overseas technology transfer partners and investment firms in real time online and communicate with them directly.

BioBook, led by CEO Hong Sunjae, announced on July 3 the release of the commercial version of 'TMP connect (tmpconnect.com),' which features core information on early-stage domestic pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as recent major transactions and investment strategies of leading overseas pharmaceutical companies and venture capital (VC) firms.

The platform includes information such as financial analyses from the past three years, major transaction histories, technology transfer activities, and investment strategies for over 1,500 major overseas pharmaceutical companies and more than 1,100 specialized investment firms. With its proprietary AI search engine, users can extract information using keywords such as indication, modality, country, and clinical stage. The company explained that the search engine quantifies matching probabilities, thereby increasing the efficiency of partner searches.

In addition, information on more than 2,200 domestic pharmaceutical and biotech venture companies has been uploaded in English, and users can extract data according to classification systems such as indication and technology category, enhancing convenience for overseas users. The domestic company information search service includes an IR book summarizing core technologies, target market analysis, product demand in the market, and competitive landscape.

The IR book features companies fostered by organizations such as Chungbuk Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, Gangwon Technopark, Kangwon National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, and the Bio-specialized Center Council. Information on major bio-cluster companies, including Seoul Bio Hub and Chuncheon Bioindustry Foundation, will also be uploaded.

CEO Hong Sunjae emphasized, "There is a significant demand overseas for information on the Korean bio industry and individual companies," and added, "We will focus on serving as a communication channel to promote Korean bio, so that global transactions such as overseas technology transfer, joint technology development, and investment attraction can be further activated."
