On the morning of July 5, Park Gangsu, Mayor of Mapo District in Seoul, attended the '2025 Mapo District Social Economy Festival Mapo Made' event held at Red Road R1 and the Mapo Publishing Culture Promotion Center Platform P. He expressed his gratitude and encouragement to representatives of participating social economy enterprises.

This event was organized to mark Social Economy Week, aiming to enhance understanding of social economy and related enterprises, and to provide a space where residents and businesses could come together to experience and share social values. On this day, a social enterprise employing individuals with autism attracted attention by showcasing stationery made from coffee grounds.

Other attractions included pet medical services, a photo studio featuring senior writers, and handcrafted products made by women with career experience, all of which captivated visitors with their heartfelt dedication.

During the commemorative ceremony, Mayor Park presented awards to individuals who contributed to the revitalization of the social economy, expressing his gratitude for their efforts. In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Park stated, "I sincerely thank everyone involved in the social economy for your dedication to providing jobs for neighbors in need and striving to create a society where we can all prosper together," adding, "We will spare no effort in providing diverse support to help social economy enterprises grow and thrive together."

Afterward, Park Gangsu, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the social economy experience booths and market booths to review major products from the enterprises and offered his appreciation and encouragement to the representatives who are realizing social economy values.
