A man in his 30s who appeared on the variety show "I Am Solo" has been indicted and is standing trial while in custody.
The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office announced on July 4 that Park had been indicted and detained on charges of quasi-rape. Quasi-rape refers to sexual assault committed by taking advantage of a victim's mental or physical incapacity to resist.
According to prosecutors, Park is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s at around 3:30 a.m. on June 21 in a parking lot in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
Park has appeared on the variety shows "I Am Solo" and "I Am Solo: Love Continues."
