The city announced that, considering the number of users last year, the water play facilities will only operate on Saturdays and Sundays until July 20, which is before the summer vacation period for infants and children. During the vacation period, the facilities will be open on both weekdays and weekends.
To provide citizens with clean water play facilities, the city will close the parks every Monday for cleaning and facility inspections. Except for unavoidable circumstances such as rain, the facilities will be open at all other times.
The operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., with 45 minutes of operation followed by a 15-minute break every hour.
The water play parks will be equipped with amenities such as shade canopies and temporary changing rooms. In addition, to ensure the health and safety of visitors, the city will implement several measures: assigning safety personnel, using tap water for water quality management, inspecting disinfection facilities, and conducting weekly water quality tests by professional institutions.
Kim Changmo, head of Hwaseong City’s Parks and Greenery Office, stated, "We will do our utmost in water quality management and safety inspections so that citizens can enjoy a pleasant and enjoyable water play experience."
