According to the county on July 3, the purpose of this visit was to proactively prevent crop growth damage in response to the abnormal climate conditions, where heavy rainfall and heatwaves repeatedly occur. Governor Jeon was accompanied by officials from the Agricultural Policy Division, the Agricultural Technology Center, and other related departments.
During the visit, Governor Jeon carefully checked the maintenance status of drainage channels, the installation of shade nets and ventilation systems in greenhouses, and the current situation regarding crop diseases and pests. He also provided farmers with practical guidelines on how to respond to these issues.
In addition, he instructed the Agricultural Policy Division to actively encourage farmers to enroll in crop disaster insurance as a way to ensure stable farm income in preparation for natural disasters caused by abnormal weather conditions.
Governor Jeon Chunsung stated, "Preemptive inspections in preparation for heavy rains and heatwaves during the rainy season are the most effective way to reduce crop damage," adding, "We will continue to proactively identify the difficulties faced by farmers through ongoing field visits and develop practical support measures."
