Yurim-dong Divided into Yurim 1-dong and Yurim 2-dong
Following Administrative Reorganization
The city of Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, announced on July 3 that the administrative welfare center for Yurim 2-dong will begin operations on July 14.
Previously, the city reorganized its administrative structure by dividing the former Yurim-dong into Yurim 1-dong and Yurim 2-dong.
Yurim-dong has recently experienced a rapid population increase and rising demand for administrative services, as residents have moved into apartment complexes developed through urban development projects in Bopyeong District, Jindeok District, Yubang District, and Gorim District. As of May 31, the population of Yurim-dong was 52,285.
Mayor Lee Sangil stated, "By dividing Yurim-dong, we aim to provide better administrative services to citizens and support the joint development of Yurim 1-dong and Yurim 2-dong through ongoing communication with residents."
