According to the legal community, the special prosecutor team notified Minister Yoo to appear for questioning at the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office at 3:30 p.m. that day. The team is also questioning former Prime Minister Han Ducksoo and Industry, Trade and Energy Minister Ahn Deokgeun on the same day.

Minister Ahn and Minister Yoo did not attend the cabinet meeting held on the day the martial law was declared. The special prosecutor team is reportedly investigating the circumstances surrounding their absence from cabinet meetings before and after the declaration of martial law.

The special prosecutor team received case records from the police and prosecution on June 18 and launched its investigation. It has imposed a travel ban on former Prime Minister Han. Previously, the National Investigation Headquarters' Martial Law Special Investigation Unit banned former Prime Minister Han and former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Choi Sangmok from leaving the country in May. They are suspected of condoning or cooperating with the insurrection by attending the cabinet meeting prior to the declaration of the 12·3 Martial Law.

Earlier, the special prosecutor team also imposed travel bans on former President Yoon Sukyeol, former Deputy Chief of Presidential Security Kim Sunghoon, and former Chief of Security Lee Gwangwoo.
