Hana Financial Group announced on July 2 that it held the inauguration ceremony for the 19th SMART Ambassadors, with 50 newly selected ambassadors officially beginning their activities.

The SMART Ambassadors program, launched in 2012, is the first university student ambassador program initiated by a financial group. To date, a total of 1,011 university students have completed the program. This year, 50 students were selected after overcoming a record-high competition ratio of 33:1. They plan to carry out and promote the group’s mission of "growing together and sharing happiness through finance" both internally and externally until the end of August.

The 19th SMART Ambassadors will undertake a variety of missions during their term, including analyzing and experiencing the group’s major financial products, planning and producing promotional content in connection with the group’s sports teams, participating in group campaign-linked social contribution activities, and proposing new business ideas.

Additionally, the ambassadors will visit schools in overseas regions with limited access to education and culture that require humanitarian support, conducting "Happy Class" volunteer activities. Through these efforts, they aim to help spread the group’s culture of sharing and put global ESG management into practice.

The 19th SMART Ambassadors will receive an activity allowance for completing their missions. All participants who complete the program will be given the opportunity to visit Hana Financial Group’s overseas branches. In particular, outstanding teams selected through evaluations will receive prize money and various benefits, such as preferential treatment during the document screening stage when applying for positions at Hana Financial Group in the future.

Ham Youngjoo, chairman of Hana Financial Group, attended the inauguration ceremony and engaged in open dialogue with the selected students. He said, "I hope the fresh perspectives and ideas of the younger generation will reinterpret finance and create new synergies for Hana Financial Group as university ambassadors." He also encouraged them by adding, "I believe this SMART Ambassador experience will become a valuable foundation for student leaders to realize their limitless potential in the future."

Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group is actively supporting the happiness and growth of the younger generation by carrying out various ESG activities for youth, such as the "Hana Social Venture University" program, which fosters local young entrepreneurs in partnership with 30 universities nationwide.
