Crystal New Materials announced on July 1 that its subsidiary, Jiangsu Tanguer Weiszjie Technology Co., Ltd., officially signed an exclusive graphite supply contract with Jiangsu Wuxi Wanlai Technology Co., Ltd. on June 26.
This contract includes exclusive supply and purchase terms, with an initial agreement for the purchase of 20 tons of graphite oxide. The total contract value amounts to 40 million yuan (approximately 7,567,200,000 KRW).
Jiangsu Tanguer Weiszjie Technology Co., Ltd. is a globally recognized producer of raw graphene materials. In recent years, Crystal New Materials has conducted in-depth investigations of graphite mines in more than ten provinces nationwide to secure high-quality graphite raw materials and establish a stable supply chain.
As a result of these investigations, it was found that less than 10% of graphite mines are able to meet Crystal New Materials' standards for graphene production. The quality of typical graphite mines varies widely and often fails to satisfy the technical requirements for high purity and high crystallinity.
Crystal New Materials produces graphene using the micro-mechanical exfoliation method, which imposes strict requirements on various performance indicators of graphite raw materials. The purity of the raw material directly affects the conductivity and thermal conductivity of the graphene, while the degree of crystallinity determines the size of the graphene and the difficulty of exfoliation. High-purity and high-crystallinity graphite makes it easier to obtain high-performance graphene, but if the impurity content is excessively high, it can seriously impact product quality.
Through a rigorous verification process and long-term selection, Crystal New Materials ultimately established a strategic partnership with Wuxi Wanlai Technology Co., Ltd. Wuxi Wanlai Technology custom-produces graphite raw materials according to Crystal New Materials' standards and has successfully met the strict technical requirements for graphene production through multiple rounds of testing.
Wuxi Wanlai Technology is a high-tech enterprise specializing in graphene materials, mica materials and related technology development, consulting, and exchanges, and holds numerous patented technologies in the fields of graphite and graphene. This agreement not only ensures a stable supply of high-quality raw materials for Crystal New Materials, but also lays the foundation for the stable, large-scale production of graphene products.
Dai Zhongqiu, CEO of Crystal New Materials, stated, "Our graphene products, with their core strengths of 'high purity and high crystallinity,' have become key to advancing our 'AI + Materials' strategy. With this collaboration, we will further strengthen cooperation with graphene companies and accelerate the expansion of applications in fields such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and new materials."
