ESG Competency Enhancement Programs for Partners Also Introduced
LG Display published the '2025 ESG Report' on June 30, detailing the achievements of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management activities from the previous year, as well as future goals and strategies for achievement.
This year marks the 14th edition of the report, which includes the outcomes achieved in nine key areas across the fields of Environment (E), Social (S), and Governance (G).
In the environmental sector, LG Display reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 43% compared to 2018 by expanding the introduction of greenhouse gas reduction facilities and optimizing facility operations based on digital transformation (DX). The company also further strengthened its waste management capabilities by fundamentally reducing waste generation and improving product manufacturing process procedures.
LG Display also advanced its 'Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)', which evaluates the eco-friendliness of all stages in the life cycle of its sold products, completing assessments for 61.9% of all sold products?1.5 times more than the previous year.
In the social sector, the company implemented various support policies, such as operating ESG competency enhancement programs for its partners, to build a sustainable supply chain. In the governance sector, LG Display worked to establish a transparent and sound governance structure, including the advancement of its compliance management system.
As a result, LG Display achieved notable outcomes, such as ranking first in the domestic IT components sector for two consecutive years in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) evaluation, and being included in the Asia Pacific Index.
