Incheon Port Authority Steadily Advances Construction of Aam Logistics Complex 2 and Smart Logistics Center

On June 30, the Incheon Port Authority announced that it is steadily advancing key infrastructure projects to establish the port as a "logistics hub of East Asia." These projects include the construction of Aam Logistics Complex 2 (Phase 2), the building of a new Smart Logistics Center, and the development of the New Port Phase 1-2 container terminal.

According to the authority, the Smart Logistics Center, which sits on a land area of 22,000 square meters with a total floor area of 19,000 square meters and consists of three above-ground floors, was completed last month. The center is currently undergoing the approval process for use.

For Phase 2 of Aam Logistics Complex 2, infrastructure such as roads and water and sewage systems has been completed, and the project is scheduled for completion next month. During the second half of this year, substructure work for the New Port Phase 1-2 container terminal will be completed, after which the superstructure construction will begin in earnest.

In addition to building key infrastructure, the authority is also systematically carrying out regularly scheduled maintenance throughout the year. By inspecting, repairing, and reinforcing major infrastructure, the authority is striving to ensure continuity of port functions and maintain high service quality at Incheon Port.

Lee Kyungkyu, President of Incheon Port Authority, stated, "The timely supply of key infrastructure will contribute to enhancing Incheon Port's cargo handling capacity and competitiveness." He added, "We will continue to systematically manage the port's infrastructure with the goal of becoming a logistics hub of East Asia, and we will pursue innovations such as AI and automation."
