NH Nonghyup Bank announced on June 30 that it has become the first financial institution to introduce a 'Tax Point Inquiry' service linked with the National Tax Service to its MyData service.
The tax point system, implemented since 2004, allows individuals and corporations to accumulate 1 point (equivalent to 1,000 KRW) for every 100,000 KRW of taxes paid. As of 2023, the total number of accumulated users stands at 37.33 million, with the average number of points per person at approximately 260. With the launch of this service, users can now check their tax points accumulated with the National Tax Service in real time through NH Nonghyup Bank's application, 'NH All One Bank,' without having to access Hometax.
These points can be used in everyday life, such as receiving a 5% discount at a dedicated shopping mall, using the business center at Incheon International Airport, and getting discounts on admission to cultural and tourist facilities.
This tax point inquiry is an exclusive service available only at Nonghyup Bank, developed from the perspective that 'points are also customer assets.' The bank's MyData service has continuously expanded its public information linkage features, such as 'Customized Government Benefits,' and with this new service, it has established an environment where customers can manage both their financial assets and hidden public points in one place.
A representative from Nonghyup Bank stated, "This service is a case of digital innovation that allows anyone to easily and conveniently check the hidden benefits of tax points," adding, "We will continue to expand customer-centric daily financial services and public information linkage services in the future."
