This visit was arranged following a meeting with the Serbian ambassador to Korea in February, and it is rare for ambassadors from ten countries to visit a local government together with their spouses. This also serves as evidence of Gimpo City's elevated status and increased international recognition.

The delegation began their visit with a rural experience activity at 'Byeokkot Nongbu' in Haseong-myeon, followed by a welcoming address from Mayor Kim Byungsu at Aegibong, and continued with a tour of Jangneung, which is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.

Mayor Kim Byungsu explained to the ambassadors the global cultural value of Aegibong, the overall vision for Gimpo City as it grows into an international city, and its tourism, culture, and industries, highlighting Gimpo's vision and value. The ambassadors responded enthusiastically, expressing special interest in Gimpo. They presented Mayor Kim Byungsu with a plaque of appreciation to thank him for the city's hospitality during their visit.

Mayor Kim Byungsu stated, "The visit by ambassadors from ten countries was a valuable opportunity not only to introduce the city, but also to showcase Gimpo's status and identity as it grows into an international city. I expect that this will serve as a foundation for future cooperation with cities abroad," adding, "We will continue to develop Gimpo into a city of opportunity by sharing its potential with the wider world."

Meanwhile, this visit was part of Gimpo City's ongoing efforts to strengthen international exchange and economic diplomacy. Gimpo City plans to further enhance its capabilities in local diplomacy through continued cooperation with various cities overseas.
