Discovering "Resident-Oriented Public Safety Policies"
The Jeonbuk Provincial Autonomous Police Committee will be holding the “2025 Jeonbuk Autonomous Police Policy Contest” until July 25, aiming to discover public safety policies that residents can truly feel.
According to the Jeonbuk Provincial Autonomous Police Committee on June 30, this contest marks the fifth year since the implementation of the autonomous police system. It has been organized to establish community safety policies tailored to local characteristics through creative policy ideas proposed directly by residents and police officers, and to promote greater public participation.

The contest is divided into three categories: ▲Establishing basic order (such as illegal U-turns, littering, and unauthorized posting of advertisements), ▲Preventing juvenile crime (including school violence, digital sex crimes, and cyberbullying), and ▲Preventing traffic accidents involving the elderly (such as improving traffic facilities, education, and public awareness campaigns). There is no limit to the number of proposals an individual can submit, and both residents and police officers affiliated with the Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency are eligible to participate.
Proposals can be submitted by sending a “Contest Proposal Form” to the Jeonbuk Provincial Autonomous Police Committee via email. Detailed forms can be downloaded from the committee’s official website.
A total of 10 teams (5 residents and 5 police officers) will be selected as outstanding proposal winners. The grand prize will be awarded to 1 team (prize money: 500,000 KRW), the top excellence prize to 2 teams (each receiving 300,000 KRW), and the excellence prize to 2 teams (each receiving 200,000 KRW). In addition, 60 participants will be randomly selected to receive a mobile gift certificate worth 10,000 KRW, encouraging broad participation.
The selected outstanding proposals will be discussed as agenda items by the Jeonbuk Provincial Autonomous Police Committee’s standing council and will be further developed into practical policies through budget allocation and project detailing. For more information, visit the committee’s website or contact the Autonomous Police Policy Division.
Lee Yeonju, Chairperson of the Jeonbuk Provincial Autonomous Police Committee, stated, “We hope that ideas proposed directly by residents will be developed into policies that protect the safety of families and neighbors,” adding, “Please feel free to propose any inconveniences or problems you encounter in daily life.”
