Kim Byungki Declares "Full-Scale War Against Forces Obstructing the People's Livelihood"
Criticizes Yoon Sukyeol and the People Power Party as Complicit in Insurrection
Vows Swift Passage of Supplementary Budget and Prime Minister Confirmation
Kim Byungki, Acting Party Leader and Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, declared, "From now on, we are declaring a full-scale war against forces that obstruct the livelihood of the people," and stated, "Within the June session of the National Assembly, we will swiftly process the supplementary budget for people's livelihoods, the confirmation of the Prime Minister, and reform bills for the people's livelihood, creating a turning point for the recovery of the people's economy."

At the Supreme Council meeting of the Democratic Party held at the National Assembly in Yeouido on June 30, Acting Leader Kim said, "We will not waste any time or energy that should be used for the recovery of the people's economy on those who only obstruct and never reflect." He continued, "We will act with even greater speed to eradicate the forces of insurrection and restore the people's economy," and emphasized, "We will not engage in any negotiations or compromises without principles with those who are complicit in insurrection or who hinder the people's livelihood."
Acting Leader Kim criticized the former Yoon Sukyeol administration and the People Power Party, referring to them as forces complicit in insurrection and obstructing the people's livelihood. He said, "The attitude of Yoon Sukyeol, the main culprit of the insurrection who was first investigated by the special prosecutor for insurrection, is outrageous." He added, "After appearing, he was questioned for 15 hours, but spent nearly 10 hours making absurd arguments and demanding special treatment," and criticized, "In effect, he refused to cooperate with the investigation."
He went on to say, "The attitude of Yoon Sukyeol, the main culprit of the insurrection, is nothing more than a ploy to neutralize the special prosecutor," and added, "If Yoon Sukyeol refuses to comply with summons and investigation by the special prosecutor for insurrection, he must be held fully accountable for his refusal."
Toward the People Power Party, he said, "Without any reflection, they are blocking the confirmation of the Prime Minister and the supplementary budget for the people's livelihood," and continued, "The People Power Party disrupted the Prime Minister's confirmation hearing, then announced they would hold their own hearing on this day, and regarding the supplementary budget for the people's livelihood, they are making unreasonable claims by calling it a hasty budget and are opposing for the sake of opposition only."
Acting Leader Kim stated that the Democratic Party would proceed with the supplementary budget, Prime Minister confirmation, and reform bills as planned, and said, "The Lee Jaemyung administration and the Democratic Party will absolutely fulfill our promise to the people to end the insurrection and restore the people's economy."
