Skonec Enters Electric Vehicle Fire Detection Platform Business with DachaJeo MOU

Skonec Enters Electric Vehicle Fire Detection Platform Business with DachaJeo MOU

Skonec Entertainment, a company specializing in XR (extended reality) technology, announced on June 30 that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with DachaJeo, an electric vehicle battery safety management startup led by CEO Cho Sangdeok, to jointly develop a preemptive electric vehicle battery fire detection system and platform.

This agreement was pursued in response to the growing need for preventive technologies amid the rapid increase in battery fires and safety incidents accompanying the expansion of electric vehicle adoption. The goal is to combine Skonec's AI and interface technology with DachaJeo's battery diagnosis and prediction algorithms to co-develop a next-generation, AI-based safety management platform.

The two companies agreed to collaborate in six key areas: ▲sales network and marketing cooperation ▲joint promotion of public procurement and government projects ▲advancement of AI-based services and user experience ▲consumer trial group-based demonstration programs ▲overseas expansion strategies ▲and joint research and development (R&D).

Leveraging its accumulated expertise in XR content development and AI-based interface technology, Skonec will integrate real-time user interface and visualization capabilities into DachaJeo's electric vehicle battery status diagnosis and preemptive fire detection technology. Through this, the companies aim to build a platform that provides drivers with an intuitive warning system and response guide, enabling them to recognize and respond to abnormal battery conditions.

Additionally, both companies plan to continuously improve the predictive accuracy of their algorithms using user feedback and real-world driving data collected through the platform, expanding into data-driven intelligent prevention services.

Through this agreement, Skonec and DachaJeo will also jointly participate in government and local government initiatives related to smart cities, public procurement, and eco-friendly policy projects. In particular, they aim to expand the supply of electric vehicle-based safety management solutions, emphasizing technological contributions and business outcomes from an ESG (environmental, social, and governance) perspective, such as carbon reduction and the expansion of eco-friendly transportation infrastructure.

By participating in pilot projects and demonstration testbeds for public institutions and local governments, the companies intend to establish a foundation for technology adoption, ultimately enabling the application of their solutions to major domestic electric vehicle infrastructure and charging station environments.

A distinguishing feature of this agreement is the operation of a consumer trial group utilizing Skonec's game platform user base, which numbers in the hundreds of thousands. The two companies will run trial groups with actual electric vehicle users, rapidly reflecting UX improvements and user requirements on the platform to refine user-centric services. They will also accelerate their joint global expansion, particularly targeting Asia and the Middle East. By jointly participating in international exhibitions, collaborating with local partners, and validating market potential through pilot projects, they aim to secure a leading position in the global electric vehicle safety platform market.

Park Woncheol, CEO of Skonec, stated, "By expanding our XR interface and AI technologies into the electric vehicle safety sector, we can extend our technological competitiveness into new B2B markets. Through this collaboration, we aim to contribute to tangible ESG outcomes and the realization of social value."

Cho Sangdeok, CEO of DachaJeo, said, "Collaboration with Skonec will create powerful synergy in both technology and market aspects as we popularize AI-based electric vehicle safety management technology. Based on our partnership, we will accelerate our global expansion going forward."
