With the box office success of the Netflix US animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' its original soundtrack (OST) is also gaining popularity in the global market.


On June 29 (local time), Billboard in the US reported in a chart preview article that the 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' OST album debuted at No. 8 on the main Billboard album chart, the 'Billboard 200.'


The 'Billboard 200' ranks albums by combining physical album sales, streaming equivalent albums (SEA), and track equivalent albums (TEA), which convert streaming and digital downloads into album sales numbers.


This OST album achieved the highest debut among soundtracks released this year and marked its first entry into the 'Top 10.' According to the chart's criteria, the album recorded 27,000 SEA units, 3,000 album sales, and 1,000 TEA units.


The album features songs such as 'Take Down' and 'Golden' by the girl group Huntrix, as well as 'Soda Pop' and 'Your IDOL' by the boy group Saja Boys, among others.


The 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' OST also performed strongly on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform. On the June 28 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart, 'Golden' ranked No. 7, 'Your IDOL' No. 11, 'Soda Pop' No. 17, 'How It's Done' No. 19, 'Free' No. 34, 'What It Sounds Like' No. 39, 'Take Down' No. 57, and 'Take Down' (Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Chaeyoung version) No. 100.


On the same day, on the 'Daily Top Songs US' chart, 'Your IDOL' ranked No. 6, 'Golden' No. 8, 'How It's Done' No. 21, 'Soda Pop' No. 29, 'What It Sounds Like' No. 38, 'Free' No. 42, and 'Take Down' No. 52.
