Full-scale Launch of Customized Fruit Washing and Cutting Service
Quality Inspection by Hygiene Professionals and Commitment to Eco-Friendly Practices
The food section at the Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch is expanding its premium, customized fruit services for the hot summer season, allowing customers to enjoy fruit in a fresher and more convenient way.
Under the slogan "EASY FRESH for Convenient Eating," the store is officially launching a service that washes, cuts, and packages seasonal fruits such as watermelon, pineapple, and melon on the spot, providing a smart food solution for busy modern consumers.
This service was designed to address the everyday inconvenience experienced by customers who "want to eat fruit but find preparing it bothersome." While existing ready-to-eat fruit products focused on standardized cuts and small portions, "EASY FRESH" offers customized cutting options based on customer requests, ranging from single-serving small packs to large family-sized portions.
Additionally, the service enhances practicality and satisfaction by offering customized packaging tailored to various lifestyles, including lunch snacks for office workers, portioned packs for children, and large quantities for parties.
Hygiene management has also been strengthened to ensure customer health and safety. The Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch has assigned specially trained professionals who have completed hygiene training to oversee the entire preparation and packaging process, and has established a comprehensive hygiene inspection system. Only high-quality, seasonal fruits carefully selected by the department store are used, ensuring both taste and freshness.
The store is also committed to environmental protection. Customers using the "EASY FRESH" service can participate in eco-friendly consumption by bringing their own reusable containers. For those who do not bring one, a sanitary container is provided to ensure convenience is not compromised.
Jung Jooyoung, head of the food team at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch, stated, "With the recent wellness trend and the increase in one- and two-person households, the demand for convenient and hygienic fruit consumption continues to rise. We will continue to expand our premium, customized food services tailored to customers' lifestyles to further strengthen our competitiveness."
