Hyundai World Rally Team Wins 50 Points in WRC 2025 Round 7
Secures Second Place in Manufacturers' Standings
Hyundai Motor Company has heightened expectations for an overall championship victory by winning the seventh round of the 2025 World Rally Championship (WRC).
On June 30, Hyundai announced that Ott Tanak of the Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team secured first place in the seventh round of the 2025 WRC season, which was held in Lamia, Greece, from June 26 to 29 (local time).
The official name of the Greece rally is "WRC EKO Acropolis Rally Greece." It is considered one of the most challenging courses in the WRC due to its rough and rugged gravel roads, narrow mountain paths, and dry, high-temperature weather. The key point of interest is how flexibly manufacturers and drivers can adapt to the demanding 345.76 km course.
For this event, the Hyundai World Rally Team fielded three drivers?Thierry Neuville, Ott Tanak, and Adrien Fourmaux?competing in the "i20 N Rally1" car.
Building on last year's victory at the Greece rally, the Hyundai World Rally Team was able to claim back-to-back wins by optimizing the condition of the i20 N Rally1 car to suit the Acropolis Rally's climate and unpaved surfaces.

Ott Tanak demonstrated exceptional adaptability to changing road conditions through meticulous vehicle setup and tire management, taking the lead from the sixth stage and steadily widening the gap with the runner-up to secure the top spot on the podium.
Additionally, Adrien Fourmaux, who joined the Hyundai World Rally Team this year, finished third thanks to consistently stable driving throughout the event, achieving a double podium and raising expectations for future rallies.
With the outstanding performances of its drivers, the Hyundai World Rally Team earned a total of 50 points, maintaining second place in the manufacturers' standings and expressing a positive outlook for the remainder of the season.
A Hyundai Motor Company representative stated, "We are very pleased to win once again at the Greece rally, which is traditionally regarded as one of the toughest and most challenging rallies, known for its extreme conditions. We will do our best in the second half of the season to deliver great performances for N brand and motorsport fans."
The WRC is a world-class motorsport competition organized by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Champions in both the manufacturers' and drivers' categories are determined based on annual results across a variety of environments, including paved roads, unpaved roads, and snowy courses.
The 2025 WRC consists of a total of 14 rounds, with the eighth round scheduled to take place in Estonia from July 17 to 20.
