Gyeonggi Province announced on the 30th that it is providing customized consulting to cooperatives and start-ups founded by women with career experience through the province's "Didimdol Employment Support Project."
The "Didimdol Employment Support Project" is a program for clubs of women with career experience, designed to move away from conventional, uniform vocational training methods and instead offer career development and skill-building opportunities necessary for employment and entrepreneurship.
After completing vocational training courses, the program operates by focusing on learning clubs with a strong commitment to employment or starting a business, providing customized education and field training for each employment and entrepreneurship sector, as well as organizational support and additional employment and entrepreneurship training.
Last year, 966 people participated, and 689 individuals (71%) succeeded in finding employment through labor contracts, paid lectures, or starting their own businesses.
The "2025 Didimdol Employment Support Project" is currently recruiting participants through cities and counties. Alongside this, a customized consulting project aimed at strengthening market competitiveness is also being carried out for the cooperatives and start-ups established through this initiative.
In April, the province conducted a demand survey targeting cities and counties, accepting applications from cooperatives and start-ups interested in consulting, and selected 11 organizations. The selected organizations are connected with professional consultants from the Gyeonggi Social Economy Institute's consulting agency and will receive three to five sessions of specialized consulting from June to September in the following areas: organizational diagnosis, promotion and marketing, market development, business expansion strategies, and management improvement.
The representative of one cooperative that participated in the consulting said, "The previously vague direction of our business has become more concrete, and we were able to gain practical solutions for marketing strategies and market entry, which was a great help." The representative added, "Systematic advice from experts brought positive changes to the management of our organization."
Yoon Hyeonok, Director of Employment Equality at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "The Didimdol Employment Support Project is not a typical employment or entrepreneurship education program. It is a Gyeonggi Province?specialized initiative that helps women with career experience form their own clubs and establish cooperatives or start-ups." She added, "To maximize the effectiveness of the project, we will do our utmost to provide follow-up support so that the cooperatives and companies established through the Didimdol Employment Support Project can become competitive in the market."
