Strengthening Global Competitiveness in Next-Generation Mobility
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the 'Changwon Drone and AAM (Advanced Air Mobility) Industry Business Council Inaugural General Meeting and Launch Ceremony' at the Changwon Convention Center.
The launch ceremony, held on June 27, was attended by Seo Jeongguk, Director of the Future Strategic Industry Bureau of Changwon Special City; Lee Junghwan, President of the Changwon Industry Promotion Agency; Jung Wooyoung, CEO of Hansung S&I; as well as over 100 representatives and executives from 47 companies that applied to join the business council. Jung Wooyoung, CEO of Hansung S&I, was elected as the first president of the business council.
The 'Changwon Drone and AAM Industry Business Council' was established to strengthen industrial competitiveness through technological exchange among companies, policy proposals, and cooperation for global market entry, as the drone and AAM industries are expanding beyond simple transportation to various fields such as logistics, healthcare, disaster response, national defense, and urban traffic innovation.
Seo Jeongguk, Director of the Future Strategic Industry Bureau, stated, "The global future mobility market is expected to grow to a scale of 2 trillion dollars," and added, "Changwon City will do its utmost to strategically foster the mobility industry and establish itself as a leading city through close cooperation with the business council."
