Yoon Appears Publicly Before Special Prosecutor for Internal Security, Abandoning Underground Entrance and Remaining Silent

Special Prosecutor's Team Begins Face-to-Face Investigation

Former President Yoon Sukyeol made a public appearance before the Special Prosecutor's Office for Internal Security on the morning of the 28th. Initially, Yoon's side had planned for him to appear privately by using the underground parking lot of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, where the special prosecutor's team is located. However, after the special prosecutor's team reiterated that this was not allowed, he ultimately made a public appearance through the main entrance.

Yoon, who is under investigation as a suspect, arrived in a vehicle at the entrance of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office at around 9:55 a.m. The face-to-face investigation by the Special Prosecutor's team, led by Cho Eunseok, began at 10:14 a.m.

When reporters asked questions such as "Is there a reason you did not use the underground parking lot?", "How do you feel about facing Special Prosecutor Cho Eunseok as a suspect after eight years?", and "Will you exercise your right to remain silent again this time?", Yoon did not respond and immediately entered the building. Attorneys Song Jin-ho and Chae Myungseong, who will be present during the investigation, accompanied him.
