Multiple Items Stolen
Three Suspects Flee the Scene
Hollywood star Brad Pitt's home in Los Angeles (LA) was burglarized.
According to reports from U.S. broadcasters ABC and NBC on June 26 (local time), citing police sources, three burglars broke into Pitt's house in the Los Feliz area of LA the previous night and stole multiple items before fleeing.
Police responded to a call at around 10:30 p.m. and arrived at the scene, where they confirmed that the group of burglars had climbed over the fence surrounding the house, entered the yard, and then broke a window to gain entry into the home.
While police have not officially confirmed that the house belongs to Pitt, media outlets reported that the address of the victimized property matches the house Pitt purchased in 2023. Pitt bought this house in April 2023 for approximately $5.5 million (about 7.5 billion won).
The total value of Pitt's property loss due to the burglary has not yet been determined. However, local media reported that "multiple high-value items were stolen from the 7.5 billion won house."
Pitt was not at home at the time of the incident. Recently, he has often been away from home to attend promotional events for the film 'F1 The Movie,' which has been released in various regions around the world. Police stated that it is unclear whether the burglars specifically targeted Pitt's residence or if the house was chosen at random.
For several years, luxury homes belonging to Hollywood stars and other celebrities in LA and throughout Southern California have repeatedly been targeted by burglars.
On the evening of February 14, a burglar broke a window and entered the home of actress Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban. The specific items stolen were not disclosed. Police are investigating the case but have not yet apprehended the suspect.
Previously, in August of last year during the day, an unidentified intruder broke into a house near Encino, Los Angeles, owned by Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. The intruder broke into the guesthouse, not the main residence, by smashing a window, but fled when the alarm sounded. This case also remains unsolved.
