Education on the Code of Conduct for Public Officials,
Anti-Corruption and Integrity Systems,
and Strengthening Integrity Competence
On June 26, Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province held an "Integrity Training for Officials in Corruption-Prone Areas" at the small theater of the Yangju Culture and Sports Center.
The training was conducted for two hours by inviting Bae Jungae, an integrity instructor from the Eoulrim Education Development Institute, to provide advance prevention and education on corruption for officials in corruption-prone areas. The program aimed to enhance overall understanding of anti-corruption and integrity systems, including the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and the Code of Conduct for Public Officials.
Through this training, Yangsan City sought to prevent corruption in advance by educating frontline officials who interact directly with citizens about potential corruption scenarios, to increase their understanding of relevant laws and systems, to actively strengthen their integrity capabilities, and to contribute to improving the city's overall integrity.
Min Mikyung, the audit officer, stated, "This training has served as an opportunity for our staff to develop a more mature awareness of anti-corruption systems," and emphasized, "We will continue to do our best to make Yangsan a city of integrity."
