Obigo, a company specializing in SDV (Software-Defined Vehicle) service platforms, announced on June 26 that it will participate in 'NextRise 2025,' which will be held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
NextRise is the largest single venture and startup event in South Korea, attracting entrepreneurs, industry leaders, venture capitalists, and many other stakeholders. Obigo will participate in the event jointly with Renault Korea. Renault Korea organized this exhibition to provide a platform where the collaboration and synergy with its infotainment platform partners can be clearly showcased.
Obigo will demonstrate its game platform 'PickJoy' and audio platform 'P!ckle.' The company plans to directly install these services on displays and infotainment systems prepared for the demo, delivering the in-vehicle user experience as it is.
PickJoy and P!ckle are SDV service platforms developed in-house by Obigo. PickJoy is an HTML web game platform optimized for the vehicle environment, currently offering more than 30 types of games, and features a simple play environment by allowing smartphones to be connected as gamepads. P!ckle is an in-vehicle audio content curation platform that recommends over 70,000 domestic and international audio contents based on artificial intelligence (AI).
Starting in the second half of the year, Obigo will actively pursue the commercialization of its SDV service platforms, which have been the focus of its research and development. The company plans to sequentially introduce various SDV services, including PickJoy, P!ckle, and the in-vehicle browser 'PickNow,' and to establish a new business model based on subscription revenue. In addition, Obigo will accelerate its AI Transformation (AX, AI Transformation) initiative, aiming to make the in-vehicle environment even smarter through SDV services integrated with AI technology.
Hwang Doyeon, CEO of Obigo, said, "Obigo's SDV services will provide users with a new dimension of digital in-vehicle experiences and enjoyment," adding, "We will continue to develop into a mobility life AX platform that offers greater convenience to users through AI-based SDV services."
