The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on the 26th that it had held the "Home Appliance NEXT: Company-Youth Connection Project R&D Talk-Talk Meeting," a practical project linked with youth focusing on the research and development (R&D) issues of local home appliance companies.
This meeting was organized as part of the Home Appliance Tomorrow Youth Specialized Support Project, a regional innovation project jointly promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Gwangju Metropolitan City. The aim was to identify practical R&D tasks that reflect the technology development needs of the local home appliance industry and to connect these tasks with specialized training (hereafter referred to as Sandaeteuk) programs designed to respond to industrial structural changes.
Companies that had submitted letters of intent to participate, including DH Global Co., Ltd., V Industry Co., Ltd., Break the Rules Co., Ltd., and New Green Korea Co., Ltd., attended the event and shared their respective R&D issues and project ideas. Together with officials from the Gwangju Human Resources Development Institute of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Gwangju Human Resources Council, discussions were held on how to concretize the tasks proposed by the companies and how to effectively link them to youth training programs.
The tasks discussed at the meeting will be further developed as participating companies submit project proposals in the future. During the Sandaeteuk job training program, youth participants will work in teams to carry out practical assignments from these companies for part of the training period.
A representative from the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry stated, "This meeting is a meaningful attempt to address the technical challenges faced by local home appliance companies together with young talent in the future," and added, "We will continue to actively support field-oriented projects to simultaneously strengthen the practical capabilities of youth and promote the joint growth of local companies."
