Yongin Jungang Market "Starlight Yard Night Market" to Be Held June 27-29

A Variety of Events Including Food, Performances, and Activities

The Starlight Yard Night Market, a signature food festival at Yongin Jungang Market in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, will be held for three days from June 27 to June 29, 2025.

This event, now in its fifth year, is organized and hosted by the Yongin Jungang Market Merchants Association and sponsored by Yongin City. It began in 2023.

The festival will feature a variety of attractions, including seven teams at the Byeoldang Market food section, thirteen teams offering barbecue, street food, skewers, and snacks, thirty teams at the flea market and experience market selling handmade goods, six teams serving craft beer and traditional liquor, and eight food trucks, for a total of sixty participating teams.

There will also be a preliminary round of "Nado Gasuda," a singing contest open to local residents, as well as performances for all age groups. Additional events include a picnic zone and hands-on programs. In the Culture Street area, there will be an exhibition and sale of merchandise featuring the city mascot, Joayong, along with events organized by the Urban Regeneration Center.

Lee Soonhwan, president of the Yongin Jungang Market Merchants Association, stated, "We will do our best to ensure that citizens can enjoy the night market safely during the festival."

Meanwhile, the city plans to establish a multi-purpose convenience facility within the market for visitors and merchants, following its selection for a Gyeonggi Province public project.
