Yeoju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 25th that a total of 88 organizations submitted applications for the '2025 Construction Project (Building Construction) Safety Inspection Agency Public Recruitment,' which closed on the 5th. This measure is in accordance with Article 62 of the Construction Technology Promotion Act and Article 100-2 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act.
This public recruitment aims to strengthen safety management for construction projects within Yeoju City and to systematically manage the list of safety inspection agencies in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. As a result of the application process, 58 organizations based in Gyeonggi Province and 30 organizations based in Seoul participated.
The organizations that submitted applications are specialized safety inspection agencies that meet the legal qualification requirements. By being registered on this list, they are now eligible to participate in building construction projects within Yeoju City that require the establishment of a safety management plan. The registered list can be viewed on the Yeoju City Hall website.
The registered agencies will be included on the list for one year, from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. If there is a request to designate a safety inspection agency, they will be selected for each project based on the relevant evaluation criteria.
Lee Chungwoo, Mayor of Yeoju City, stated, "The safety of buildings is a critical issue directly linked to the lives of our citizens. By preparing this list of safety inspection agencies, we will operate the safety inspection system effectively and establish a foundation for objective and professional agencies to participate." He added, "I hope that the companies registered as safety inspection agencies will have a sense of mission to work with Yeoju City in building a preventive safety management system throughout the entire life cycle of buildings."
He continued, "Yeoju City will continue to do its utmost to create a construction environment where all citizens can feel safe, through fair and transparent designation of agencies and thorough inspection management."
