Dongducheon City Holds Final Report Meeting
on Intensive Safety Inspection
Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyungdeok) announced on the 25th that it had held the "2025 Dongducheon City Intensive Safety Inspection Final Report Meeting" at the Dongducheon City Disaster Safety Situation Room on the 24th.

The meeting was presided over by Park Hyungdeok, mayor of Dongducheon, and attended by the heads of 14 departments responsible for facility management. The main topics of discussion included the results of the intensive safety inspection, subsequent follow-up measures, and strategies for securing the necessary budget.
This intensive safety inspection was conducted over 61 days, from April 14 to June 13. A total of 460 people, including staff from the departments responsible for facilities and private-sector experts, participated in the joint inspection of 74 facilities.
As a result of the inspection, issues were found at 61 facilities, accounting for 89.1% of the total inspected. Minor issues were addressed and corrected immediately on site, while matters requiring repair or reinforcement are currently undergoing follow-up action.
Park Hyungdeok, mayor of Dongducheon, stated, "Follow-up measures based on the inspection results must be implemented swiftly," and added, "In particular, I urge each department to thoroughly promote safety measures to prevent accidents during the rainy season."
Meanwhile, Dongducheon City plans to ensure seamless management of follow-up actions through continuous monitoring so that potential risks can be promptly addressed in the future.
