The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (President Song Pilho) announced on June 24, 2025, that it has completed its disaster relief professional personnel training program for the first half of the year.
Approximately 270 people, including disaster relief officials and members of volunteer disaster prevention corps from across the country, participated in a total of six training sessions held from April to June.
The training covered essential topics for disaster relief: the disaster relief system and related laws, the roles of professional personnel, public-private cooperation, psychological support, and role-specific training. Each curriculum was led by field experts and focused on practical skills that can be immediately applied on site. In particular, customized training content reflecting regional characteristics and disaster types led to high levels of engagement and participation.
Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, stated, "As the frequency and scale of disasters increase due to the climate crisis, the role of professional disaster relief personnel is more important than ever." He added, "In the second half of the year, we will further strengthen our disaster safety network with even more substantial training."
