Honam University Department of Emergency Medical Technology Wins Top Prize at National Firefighting Skills Competition

Honam University announced on June 24 that three students from its Department of Emergency Medical Technology recently won the top prize in the emergency medical category (Department of Emergency Medical Technology competition) at the 38th National Firefighting Skills Competition.


This competition was held in a special format for students majoring in emergency medical technology across the country, focusing on emergency care for cardiac arrest patients. Participants were comprehensively evaluated on their on-site response capabilities, teamwork, and emergency care skills.


The honored recipients were students Kim Sujin, Kim Jaeyoung, and Lee Eunsu, who participated as representatives of Honam University's Department of Emergency Medical Technology. They demonstrated calmness and precise emergency care skills in tense simulation scenarios, earning high praise from the panel of judges.


Professor Yoon Jonggeun said, "The students achieved such great results because they always gave their best during practice."


Student Kim Sujin said, "Professors Yoon Jonggeun and Moon Junyoung provided excellent guidance as we prepared for the competition. I am proud that the many hours of practice and discussions with my teammates led to this achievement, and I will continue to grow as an emergency medical technician dedicated to protecting lives."
