Largest Capacity Among Home Appliances
Increased Capacity, Reduced Depth Compared to Previous Models
Strengthening Presence in the U.S. Premium Market
LG Electronics is supplying large-capacity home washers and dryers to a U.S. home appliance retailer.
LG Electronics recently began supplying its 'LG Signature' 29-inch washer and dryer products to Lowe's, one of the leading comprehensive home appliance retailers in the United States. These products boast the largest capacity among home drum washers and dryers in the U.S. market. LG Electronics plans to continue expanding its lineup of large-capacity laundry appliances in the United States going forward.
Taking into account the preferences of U.S. customers for large-capacity laundry, the washer's capacity has been increased by more than 10% compared to the company's previous models. In addition, a mini-wash can be combined for separately washing delicate clothing, underwear, or children's clothes.
The depth of the product has been reduced by more than 5% compared to previous models. Considering typical American residential environments, the large-capacity appliance has been designed to be approximately 31 inches deep, making it easy to install and use even in utility rooms inside homes.

The refined design identity unique to LG Signature has been maintained. To emphasize simplicity, the front of the product features a 7-inch touch LCD display instead of buttons or dials, allowing users to operate both the main washer and the mini-wash at once. A matte finish has been applied throughout to enhance its premium look, and the handle is hidden inside the seamless tempered glass door, creating a unified exterior. The product is available in two colors: silver and essence black.
The product also features enhanced washing and drying performance through the application of 'AI CoreTech,' which combines LG Electronics' core component technology with artificial intelligence. By utilizing the AI DD motor (direct drive motor) and AI sensor drying function, the appliance analyzes the weight, fabric type, and degree of soiling of the laundry to apply optimal washing and drying patterns that minimize fabric damage. In addition, detergent and fabric softener are automatically dispensed according to the laundry load and level of soiling, providing added convenience.
Convenience features using the AI home platform 'LG ThinQ' are also supported. These include 'ThinQ UP,' which continuously upgrades existing appliances with new AI functions; 'ThinQ Care,' which allows users to easily check and manage the product's status for issues or abnormal signs; and 'Smart Pairing,' which enables the dryer to operate automatically based on washer usage data without requiring separate settings.
LG Electronics is strengthening its presence in the United States, the world's largest premium home appliance market. Earlier this year, LG ranked in the top three in the drum washer category of Consumer Reports' 'Best Large-Capacity Washing Machines' survey. As of May, LG also ranked first in washing machine performance evaluations conducted by eight consumer media outlets in six countries.
Jung Kyu-hwang, Executive Vice President and Head of North America at LG Electronics, said, "LG Signature is an integrated brand that encompasses ultra-premium appliances with overwhelming performance, sophisticated design, and intuitive usability. With our ultra-premium washers and dryers upgraded to the largest capacity, we will further strengthen our leadership in the North American laundry appliance market."
