Actor Kim Soohyun and his agency have filed a criminal complaint for false accusation against Kim Seui, the operator of the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, as well as the family of the late actress Kim Saeron.
On the afternoon of June 23, the law firm LKB & Partners, which represents Kim Soohyun and his agency, announced the filing of the complaint in an official statement. It was reported that Kim Soohyun's side submitted the complaint for false accusation to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul.
Kim Soohyun's side claimed that Kim Seui, at a press conference held at 2:00 p.m. on May 7, played a forged audio recording of the late Kim Saeron that was created using artificial intelligence (AI) deep voice technology and other means, and spread absurd and false information.
Kim Soohyun's side pointed out that Kim Seui and the family of Kim Saeron filed a complaint against Kim Soohyun for false accusation and violation of the Child Welfare Act based on the forged audio file, which constitutes a clear act of false accusation. They stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure that these individuals are punished according to the law and principles."
