Deputy Governor Daesoon Kim greeted each merchant individually as he toured the site and said, "Every resident's spending helps revive the local economy. I hope this Big Sale will provide real benefits to both merchants and consumers."
On site, the head of the Wondang Market Merchants Association said, "I hope that the Big Sale event will continue to be held in the future to revitalize the local commercial district."
The "2025 Gyeonggi Province Big Sale to Revive Gyeonggi" is a large-scale discount event organized by the Gyeonggi Province Market and Commercial District Promotion Agency to boost consumption in traditional markets and neighborhood shopping areas and to inject vitality into the stagnant local economy. This year's first-half event runs for nine days, from June 21 to June 29, simultaneously at more than 400 markets and commercial districts across the province.
