Sing-Along and Classical Appreciation with Commentary
The Jeongeup City Youth Training Center in North Jeolla Province will hold the 21st Warak Concert at Nokdu Hall inside the center at 2 p.m. on June 28.
According to the city on June 23, this concert is designed to make classical music easy and enjoyable, and is open to all citizens and youth free of charge.
The Warak Concert, held regularly on the last Saturday of every other month, has established itself as a cultural performance where citizens can communicate and find healing through music in their daily lives.
This 21st concert is drawing attention with a more diverse program lineup. It will begin with an audience participation "sing-along," followed by "classical appreciation with commentary," featuring the third movement of "Summer" from Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons." Next, there will be a "quiz session" and a special stage with guest performers, making the event accessible and enjoyable even for classical music beginners.
In particular, clarinetist Hong Kyungyeol will appear as a guest performer on stage. He is expected to provide a unique musical experience for the audience by performing with a sweet clarinet melody and directly engaging with the audience.
Choi Youngrak, director of the Youth Training Center, said, "We expect this concert to be an opportunity for both youth and citizens to feel more familiar with the genre of classical music and to share its charm," adding, "We hope for your interest and participation."
A city official also stated, "We hope the Warak Concert at the Youth Training Center will continue as a cultural event that connects citizens through music and leads to emotional healing."
