Full-Scale Development Begins in the Sangdo 4-dong Area
On June 23, the Dongjak District Office in Seoul announced that the management plan for the Moa Town area at 242 Sangdo-dong was approved and officially announced on June 19. With this, following the recent designation and announcement of the project operator for the Sangdo 15 District, and now the approval of the management plan for the adjacent Moa Town by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the development of the Sangdo 4-dong area is expected to accelerate in earnest.
The Moa Town area at 242 Sangdo-dong covers approximately 69,120 square meters and is located near Sindaebang Samgeori Station and Jangseungbaegi Station on Subway Line 7, offering excellent transportation accessibility. According to the management plan, the district plans to supply a total of 1,498 high-quality apartment units, including 262 rental units, and to enhance residents' quality of life by expanding infrastructure and shared facilities.
In particular, the district plans to widen major roads such as Seongdae-ro, and to build a public pedestrian passage connecting Sangdo 14 District and Dohwa Park, thereby improving traffic conditions and the pedestrian environment. The district will sign a memorandum of understanding regarding the integrated selection of the (tentative) promotion committee, trust company, and construction company, and based on this, will establish a cooperative system to integrate and develop the developable areas within Moa Town as a single complex.
Through this approach, the district aims to increase project efficiency and expedite progress by establishing interconnected infrastructure, creating harmonious landscape plans between districts, and developing integrated welfare facilities.
Park Ilha, head of the Dongjak District Office, stated, "The day is drawing near when the Sangdo 4-dong area will be transformed into a premium residential complex," and added, "We will continue to rapidly reshape the map of Dongjak through Dongjak-style redevelopment projects."
