The Department of Occupational Therapy at Chungnam Provincial College announced on the 23rd that it recently visited the Daejeon-Sejong-Chungnam Nexon-sponsored Public Children's Rehabilitation Hospital and conducted an on-site hospital tour as part of its major education program.

On that day, students visited the pediatric occupational therapy room, sensory integration therapy room, activities of daily living training room, play therapy room, and psychological counseling center, where they received explanations about the specialized equipment and programs used in treatment settings.

In addition, they observed the multidisciplinary collaboration system among occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists, gaining an understanding of integrated treatment approaches in actual clinical practice.

Student A, who participated in the tour, said, "It was very beneficial to directly see and experience how the theories we learned at school are applied in real clinical settings," adding, "In particular, it was an opportunity for me to seriously reflect once again on the role of occupational therapists in improving the quality of life for children with disabilities."

Lee Minjae, head of the Department of Occupational Therapy, stated, "In addition to this hospital tour, we are also running various clinical practice programs, special lectures by invited experts, and programs linked to obtaining national certifications," and added, "We will continue to focus on strengthening students' career competencies through ongoing cooperation with local health and medical institutions."
