Bradley Clinches Victory with Final-Hole Comeback

Dramatic Birdie on the 18th at Travelers Championship
Eighth Career Victory with $3.6 Million Prize
Fleetwood's Bogey Misfortune Denies First PGA Tour Win Again

Keegan Bradley (USA) turned the tables on the final hole.

On June 22 (local time), at TPC River Highlands (par 70, 6,844 yards) in Cromwell, Connecticut, USA, Bradley reduced his score by two strokes in the 4th round of the Travelers Championship, the last signature event of the PGA Tour season with a total prize fund of $20 million, to claim a one-stroke victory (15-under-par 265). This marks his 8th career win and his first in 10 months since the FedEx Cup Playoff (PO) BMW Championship in August last year. The winner’s prize is $3.6 million (approximately 4.96 billion KRW).

Bradley started the round tied for second, three shots behind, and recorded five birdies and three bogeys. After reducing his score by one stroke over the first 17 holes, he trailed leader Tommy Fleetwood (England) by just one shot. On the final 18th hole (par 4), Fleetwood missed a 2-meter par putt, while Bradley sank a 1.8-meter birdie putt to complete a thrilling come-from-behind victory.

World No. 17 Fleetwood once again failed to overcome the final hurdle. He is regarded as a top-tier player, having claimed seven victories on the European Tour. However, on the PGA Tour, he has played in 159 tournaments, finishing runner-up six times and third five times. On this day as well, he was unable to lift the winner’s trophy that was within his grasp.

Russell Henley finished tied for second. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) and career Grand Slam contender Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) both shot 5-under-par 65 to finish tied for sixth at 12-under-par 268. Among Korean players, An Byeonghun delivered a strong finish by reducing his score by three strokes, climbing to a tie for 14th at 7-under-par 273. Kim Joo-hyung finished tied for 45th at even-par 280, while Im Sungjae tied for 61st at 4-over-par 284.
