Discussion on Measures to Strengthen Emergency Medical Services in Jeonnam

Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital recently announced on June 22 that it held the '2025 Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital 1st External Representative Council'.
This regional and essential medical external representative council was attended by a total of 16 members, including Hospital Director Min Jeongjun, Vice Director Kang Hocheol, Director of Public Health and Medical Projects Kwon Sunseok, Director of the Jeonnam Provincial Public Health and Medical Support Group, Director of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Center, Director of the Gokseong-gun Health and Medical Center, and Director of the Jeonnam Provincial Social Service Institute.
The council shared updates on the operation of the public health and medical cooperation system project, and discussed ways to strengthen emergency medical services in medically underserved areas of Jeonnam, as well as how to prepare for integrated medical and care support projects.
As the regional responsible medical institution for Jeonnam, Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital is carrying out various projects to reduce regional disparities in essential medical services and to enhance the public nature of healthcare. These include linking discharged patients with community resources, cooperation for severe emergency patient transport, transfer and treatment, infection control and patient safety, and mental health promotion cooperation projects.
