Yangsan City Holds Briefing on Fines for Violations in EV Charging Zones
and Support Policies for Fire Prevention in Apartment Complexes
On June 19, Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province held a policy briefing at the Yangsan Culture and Arts Center Small Theater for approximately 100 representatives responsible for managing apartment complexes in the city. The event provided information on 'electric vehicle charging zone fines' and introduced the 'electric vehicle fire prevention support project.'
This briefing was conducted in conjunction with job training for apartment complex management representatives. It was organized to give a detailed explanation of the second additional recruitment notice for the '2025 Apartment Complex Electric Vehicle Fire Prevention Support Project' currently being promoted by Yangsan City, and to clearly communicate the criteria for imposing fines for violations in the rapidly increasing number of electric vehicle charging zones within apartment complexes.
In particular, the briefing focused on the criteria for imposing fines for illegal parking and obstruction of charging in electric vehicle charging zones, examples of violations, and frequently asked questions (FAQ). Practical training was also provided to help management representatives effectively communicate this information to residents.
The Apartment Complex Electric Vehicle Fire Prevention Support Project targets apartment complexes equipped with at least one electric vehicle charging facility. The project provides support for up to 90% of the cost of installing or purchasing equipment for fire prevention and suppression, with a maximum subsidy of 2.5 million won.
Applications can be submitted in person at the Climate and Environment Division from June 10 to July 31. Project completion and settlement must be finalized by the end of November.
An official from Yangsan City stated, "Through this briefing, we hope to enhance the safety of electric vehicle charging facilities within apartment complexes and provide practical assistance in raising residents' awareness and establishing order in charging practices," adding, "We will continue to make ongoing efforts to strengthen the safety foundation of the electric vehicle usage environment."
