Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam announced on the 22nd that it has newly renovated its "Electronics Specialty Hall," enhancing its lineup of premium home appliances and experiential content.

The electronics specialty hall, located on the 9th floor of the new building, covers an area of approximately 300 pyeong and houses a total of more than 40 brands. This renewal was planned to reflect the recent recovery in the marriage rate and the characteristic of the Gangnam commercial district, where VIP customers account for half of the clientele.
In the past, large appliances such as TVs and refrigerators were considered essential for newlyweds. However, demand has recently expanded beyond dryers, robot vacuum cleaners, and dishwashers to include lifestyle and kitchen appliances such as wine cellars, coffee machines, and ovens. Last year, 51% of customers who purchased large appliances at the Gangnam branch also bought small appliances, driving overall appliance sales performance.
Samsung Electronics has introduced its premium line "Dacor," while LG Electronics has brought in the entire lineup of its ultra-premium built-in appliances, "Signature Kitchen Suite." The German luxury appliance brand "Miele" has been redesigned as an experiential store. High-end built-in brands such as "Gaggenau," "De Dietrich," "EuroCave," "Liebherr," and "Smeg" are presented in showroom formats reminiscent of real kitchens, allowing customers to see, touch, and experience the products firsthand.
Customers can also find the automatic cat litter box "Litter-Robot 4" and the "Creami" ice cream maker, which allows users to easily create customized ice cream at home. In addition, practical and stylish small appliance brands such as "Minix" and "Lumena" are featured. Representative products include the "The Blender Pro" food waste processor from Minix and the "Dry Tower" object dehumidifier from Lumena.
To celebrate the renewal opening, a variety of promotional events have been prepared. Special commemorative products include the De Dietrich built-in downdraft hood for 4,690,000 won, the Smeg wine cellar for 3,950,000 won, and the Liebherr Prime Set (refrigerator and freezer) for 9,490,000 won. Samsung Electronics is offering up to 800,000 points to customers purchasing appliances for new homes, moving, or wedding gifts, while LG Electronics is running a special promotion with a basic 8% discount and an additional 5% benefit.
In September this year, an audio specialty select shop is also scheduled to open. Premium audio brands such as "Scheherazade" and "Devialet" will be brought together, creating a space where customers can experience high-end audio equipment firsthand.
Lee Eunyoung, head of lifestyle at Shinsegae Department Store, stated, "We have further strengthened our lineup of premium appliances and experiential content, as well as lifestyle and kitchen appliances, reflecting the influx of new apartments near Banpo, VIP demand, and the growing trend in wedding appliances. We will continue to expand differentiated spaces tailored to our customers' lifestyles."
