Gyeongnam Nonghyup Holds Rural Labor Support Event ... Boosts Vitality for Grape Farms

'Nonghyup United One-Heart Rural Labor Intensive Support Day'
Practical Assistance Provided Through Joint Efforts with Related Organizations During Farming Season

On June 20, Gyeongnam Nonghyup carried out a rural labor support event in the Daesan-myeon area of Haman to mark the "Nonghyup United One-Heart Rural Labor Intensive Support Day," in collaboration with related organizations.

This event was organized to encourage nationwide participation in rural labor support and to strengthen practical farming assistance.


Approximately 90 people participated in the labor support activities, including Ryu Gilnyeon, head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup; Shin Haekeun, head of Nonghyup Haman-gun branch; Song Byungwoo, president of Daesan Nonghyup; representatives from local agricultural and livestock cooperatives in Haman; Kim Pilun, president of the Gyeongnam Provincial Association of the Hometown Housewives' Group; Choi Minryeon, president of the Gyeongnam Provincial Federation of the Farm Housewives' Group; Kim Seongwoo, executive director of LG Electronics; Kim Jinik, division head of Muhak; and executives and staff from Monggo Foods.


Participants assisted grape farms by bagging grapes, and also provided lunch through the Isimjeomsim meal support program, offering practical help to farmers despite the hot weather and receiving a positive response from the farming community.


Ryu Gilnyeon, head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, stated, "This labor support activity, conducted together with Nonghyup United and related organizations, not only provided practical assistance to local farmers but also served as a good example of mutual cooperation among related organizations. We will continue to share the difficulties of rural areas and spare no effort in providing ongoing support."


The event was promoted to help resolve labor shortages in local farms during the busy farming season, to revitalize rural communities, and to expand exchanges between urban and rural areas. Gyeongnam Nonghyup plans to continue expanding rural support in cooperation with various related organizations.
